I have a couple of slides on my vision tester that do this, but I carefully explain how it works before doing the test. You have to tell us which note the line goes through. This is the test where you look with one eye and see a bunch of music notes, and then we “turn on” the other eye which shows a line that goes through the notes. For US FAA exams, we don’t do a test for depth perception itself, it’s inferred from the heterophoria testing. It is not the same as depth perception (which is called stereopsis), but it is related to depth perception. Orthophoria is normal, heterophoria is abnormal. This tests the relationship between the visual axis of the two eyes. The test we do for this for FAA exams is heterophoria testing. It won’t be a problem for you to qualify for a (civilian) FAA medical.
